Ultra Running
Ultra running involves canvassing anything longer than a marathon, and typically occurs on trails or wilderness areas. I find ultras to be an extreme exercise in patience, problem solving, and ultimately, mental fortitude. It is the intersection of many of my loves – nature, free and swift movement, exploration, overcoming perceived limitations, volunteering, and community. Through it, I’ve found myself exploring mountains, deserts, canyons, bluffs, rivers, waterfalls – so many precious gems .

Introducing children to sport and outdoors
This is the most rewarding passion project: introducing kids to the outdoors through sport and play. The immediate benefits are obvious - a cause for optimism.
